Introducing Munro’s current body of works “be men of courage”.
Munro sensitively portrays his subjects with an almost translucent application of colour, created by light touches of wet brush work. The technique is far removed from his usual thick application with builder’s trowels, yet the style is unmistakably Munro: clean, strong and effortlessly uncomplicated.

“Elke gesig in die “men of courage”reeks bring my nader aan my eie werklikheid en my rol as ’n “man of courage” in die groter bestel van God. Ek skilder elke gesig sonder om te weet waarheen dit lei en eers wanneer die skildery ’n titel kry kom die persoonlikheid of die betekenis na vore.” – Munro.
